CXXXIV: Shows You Should Binge-Watch Right Now!

Emily In Paris

Netflix (2020)

This show has given me complete Paris withdrawals.

As you work your way through the season, you are taken on the most beautiful journey through Paris and you even get to attend some pretty cool parties! If you need to know what you’d get from a trip to Paris, then watch this show.

But, apart from that, the storyline follows a young woman in marketing who lucked up on the opportunity of a lifetime to live and work in Paris while helping a marketing firm in Paris modernize.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the digs taken at the know-it-all-American who comes to a different country with the half-brained ideas that they will “fix” everything wrong with the people in that country. This show really showcased cultural differences in love, work ethic, and lifestyle and I honestly couldn’t get enough of it! 💛

LOVE VICTOR

Hulu (2020)

Love Victor comes after the beautiful story of Simon in Love Simon.

Victor and his family move from Texas to Atlanta where Victor gets a fresh start. But, he soon learns that a fresh start doesn’t mean that all is anew.

In this series, we get to watch Victor figure it all out and his innocence makes it all more of a joy to watch.

In addition to the beauty that his innocence provides, we also get a hearty helping of family values all throughout the show (which I LOVE).

This show is a must-watch for sure! ❤️

THE DUCHESS

Netflix (2020)

This show has received varying reviews with many people saying that it was a big miss. I, however, completely disagree! I also think that whoever thought it was a miss was an older male who just couldn’t see the beauty in such an in-depth look into womanhood. But, I digress…

This British gem of a show follows Katherine, a single mother navigating situationships, single-motherhood, commitment and divorce in a way that some viewers may see as having something less than grace.

I found the show to be a very honest and real account of motherhood and all of the struggles that come with protecting your child’s interests while you’re still trying to figure it all out yourself.

Granted Duchess may not be for the young or the conservative, it is for many! So, I highly recommend that you give it a go. 🤍

SHOWS THAT I PLAN ON BINGE-WATCHING:

  1. Love Live (HBO Max)

  2. Euphoria (HBO)

  3. Woke (Hulu)

  4. The Good Place (Netflix)
