Tahoe - I May Have Found A Spot That I Like
Living in California means that you can hop into your car and be somewhere that looks, feels, and moves completely different in about 2 hours.
The sad thing about this is the fact that many Californians are too busy just trying to survive to go out and enjoy it. For me, I find it too easy to get caught up in the, ‘I worked all week, let me sit down all weekend’ flow of things and just be content. The hard thing about this is that, I find much of the joy that I experience in exploring things that are different from my norm — yes, working a steady, well-paying job is fun but exploring a new city and seeing all that a different mold of people have to offer sounds like much more fun.
With this, I hopped in the Chevy and dragged my sister along for a mini-adventure.
I have spoken of the wow’s of Northstar Village for a while but hadn’t ventured back in years. This year, however, I was at my desk on my last week of work and decided that I want to go back… Not only that, but I wanted to go back and explore not just the village but also the nearby resorts.
Coincidentally enough, the closest resort was The Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Did that change my plan? Because you know that I’m a Fairmont girlly. Absolutely not. Check out the Ritz and the Northstar Village lookbook:

This reminder that fun could be a two-hour car ride away was a very welcomed reminder for me. I can’t wait to plan and execute some Fall daycation trips. Where to next?
Best,
