Bridgerton: A Tale of Friendship?
We’ve officially gotten all episodes of season three, which, wow time flies! The internet was just complaining about the fact that a string quartet was playing “Thank You, Next” in season one while lusting after Reġe-Jean.
Now we’ve got such tangled webs in season three to untangle and enjoy amongst ourselves.
The big thing shining through, like the many crowns of Queen Charlotte herself, however would have to be the friendships.
Dearest Gentle Friend…?
The odd thing about the social world today is that many will watch the exact same season that I did and completely miss everything not having to do with scandal or love. In layman’s terms, many will miss the important messages about friendships presented by this show this season.
Think Lady Danbury and Lady Bridgerton realizing that they, too, can be there for each other regarding more than business and gossip. Or, think Mr. Mondrich putting his very apparent struggles with losing his bar aside to be there for the Bridgerton boys and Lord Kilmartin. And what about Eloise and Penelope dropping their issue finally to be there for each other.
There were so many gems dropped this season about friendships and the importance of nurturing them that I already dread watching society completely miss.
Maybe it’s just me but I find it so amazing when people, all of whom are going through other things, find it within themselves to still pour into their friendships. Saying what needs to be said. Showing up when one is hurting. And being there for a laugh or two.
I’ll never stop loving the depictions, within television, of people being able to be true friends to each other.
As always, that type of bond, selflessness, loyalty, love, compassion, presence and light is something that I always strive to be in my friendships and I just love praising these traits when I see them.
Once again, good job, Bridgerton. 🌾
Best,
Bree
